The JHF Project was first initiated in 1997 by Thomas E. Levy and Russell B. Adams. Research focused on two sites: WFD 4- The Wadi Fidan Village and SiteWFD 40- The Iron Age Cemetery. The project incorporated Academic Researchers, Students, and Volunteers from America, South America, Europe, Jordan, Israel, and Australia.
